March of the lemmings

I was in a restaurant the other day and couldn’t help but overhear the conversation from the table behind us

They were in a celebratory mood. They were happy that Californians had come together in such a rational way to cut back on their energy usage and prevent brownouts during the recent heat wave. they were absolutely giddy about everyone receiving an unsolicited emergency alert on their phone advising them that we had entered a stage three powers situation. to them this could only be seen as a regime success for mankind.

They seem to be ignorant of the fact that California has entered Third World status with respect to its power grid energy management and energy generation. Similarly they did not seem to appreciate that the alert that went out to all Californians was essentially a rationing announcement from the government. It seems they’ve never read the story by George Orwell, 1984

FBI

The FBI has come under criticism for its raid on Trump’s home. Many have said its only the upper leadership of the FBI that is corrupt. If that were true there would be FBI whistleblowers but there are none. We must conclude there are no FBI agents that can be trusted. Period. Prove me wrong.

Final proof equal justice is dead

Trump’s home raided today by the FBI. Asking why is moot as we are watching shadows on the cave wall. Another fishing expedition. More proof justice in America is corrupt beyond belief. Another attempt to tarnish Trump so he cannot run in 2024. Give the democrats a distraction from their horrible record. If you don’t see the double standard then I cannot help you – your brain is lost.

The radical left will not be happy until they spark civil war.

3rd World America (the new normal)

  • Electrical outages
  • Water rationing
  • Empty shelves at the grocery store
  • Historically high fuel prices & shortages
  • Election fraud
  • Free speech under attack
  • Unequal justice system
  • Record levels of homelessness
  • Soul crushing regulations

Must I go on?

It’s ok to cry now.

Tucker Carlson

The New York Times recently did a hit piece on Tucker and a friend asked me to comment on the Times article…. This is what I told him ….

I really wanted to learn something new about Tucker Carlson in the times article but I’ve concluded the article is mostly a hit piece using the left’s default call of … “RACIST!”.  The 20,000 word format “suggests” lots of data, but bulk does not supplant quality.  Tons of hearsay and supposition ; nothing I’d consider solid or can’t be readily dismissed by people who really listen to him.

Does Tucker sensationalize like all the other networks and shows? Yes.  In doing so, Tucker breeds distrust of the government and its unexplained motives (a core theme).  Tucker’s other targets of distrust are any media outlets he sees as incompetent propaganda engines for the left.  Situations where the media floods the zone with premature assertions to satisfy the left’s narrative are especially hated by him. His approach of “just asking questions” has been criticized as being intellectually shallow and as I already mentioned tends to breed distrust.  Tucker also has pejorative nick names for everyone in power he doesn’t respect….despite the accuracy of his sarcasm, it gets old and tends to weaken his journalistic intent in favor of his need to sensationalize and grab more market share.  Am I a monster fan, no.  But his foibles are easy to see and ignore and I get good info and insight from him.  He is simply the most reasonable I have found so far who seems like he isn’t sucking up to someone.

At his core, he is a staunch supporter of democracy and our constitution.  It is probably fair to call him a constitutional originalist.  Most of his reports and monologues touch this theme. And to be clear, he is very critical of Republicans who fail to protect the integrity of our system of government.  Every day we see more over reach, subterfuge, law breaking, two tier justice, and unexplained policies and actions that take place in our government without publicity.  He will break the news, such as busloads and planeloads of immigrants being shuttled around the country under the shadow of night but nobody else will report it

Tucker has been imbedded at our southern boarder several times and  has shown some seemingly authentic sympathy towards the plight of those coming into America for a better life.  Tucker is deeply critical of any administration that doesn’t share with the American people the intent of their policy.  What is their plan?  How are they going to make it work?  His show format regularly  presents video evidence followed by questioning the intent of policy behind what’s happening.

Contrary to the claim of being racist, Carlson has run many stories on how government decisions are hurting the poor and people of color economically and socially.  Why are we experiencing record inflation?  Who is being hurt the most by inflation?

I did some digging on Jan 6 (overdue) and it seems Tucker is guilty of cherry picking videos to better fit his narrative.  Still, I do not understand how anyone can justify the use of deadly force against an unarmed woman in another room resulting in her death.  She posed no immediate threat to life in my my opinion.  Heartbreaking.  And I still believe there are many unanswered questions about the events of 1/6

Intrusions on First Amendment is another common topic of his shows.  The impact of the “woke” agenda on our freedom to express an opinion is real.  If your speech doesn’t align with, show support for, the woke agenda you become a target.  Not just social shaming and deplatforming but violence as well.  I would actually put some of the COVID & Vaccine claims against Tucker in this bucket.  Questioning anything COVID related has become cause for action from the government and corporations.  Tucker is  not anti-vax; he is anti “do this and don’t ask any questions”

Tucker Carlson is not a “pundit” for any party.  He always brings his comments back to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  I think this is why I like him despite his shortcomings.

On finding clips to show you I have not given up but I am not done.  “Landmark” monologues are out there but I have not yet isolated one or two for you.  Honestly, they are mostly all similar in both the good and bad ways.  If you really want a taste for him you might consider any of his daily monologues on Fox News Channel.  Skip Fridays as they frequently are of lesser quality (taped in advance with less preparation).  The opening monologues last about 20 minutes; the rest of the show I normally ignore unless its something really interesting.

Today he covered the reactions to the leaked SCOTUS opinion regarding Row v Wade.  He enumerated the irony & hypocrisy of the left’s reactions; one of which was the “anti democracy” claim when the SCOTUS opinion specifically calls out giving Americans the right to vote on the issue of abortion instead of having SCOTUS decide our rights.  As an aside, I would guess only a microscopic number of Americans understand Federalism and most of those don’t want it.  Perhaps we have outgrown Federalism but we have ways to change it, using SCOTUS to nullify Federalism is not the way to do it in my opinion.

Youtube war

I watch too many youtube videos. I watch them to learn, rarely to entertain. Recently I observe there are many posts about religion. Specifically, videos that criticize the Catholic church and others criticizing the evangelical mega church.

Critics of Catholicism focus on how the structure of the catholic faith contradicts the bible and in fact amends the teachings of the church with countless man made doctrines that are layered layered atop its biblical foundation. Overall, the argument is Catholicism is more a religion of man (Rome) than it is based on scripture.

Evangelical critics focus on the hollow showmanship and corruption of many evangelical churches. Also called ”mega churches” these are criticized for having leaders who are worth many many millions of dollars. They own jets, yachts and mansions but fail to serve those in need.

Both sets of critics are right, and both are wrong. Both need to clean up their act and be held accountable, but being at war with each other is a fool’s errand. People of faith need to work together to bring peace to the world. Their focus needs to be on saving mankind.

People of faith fighting each other ignore the true evil in the world, those who are working to destroy all people of faith. The world will sink into hopeless corruption and evil if people of faith fail to join together to defeat those who see religion as a threat to world domination.

Overpopulation

in the 60’s & 70’s there was a contrived movement to limit the population of humanity. Zero Population Growth was the call from the left. Some corners of the planet such as China took very seriously and with their totalitarian authority forced families to limit offspring to 1 per couple. China is now in trouble because as populations age there are not enough workers to support the population of the nation. In the rest of the world social pressure on civilized countries successfully accomplished similar results. With the current demographics and the average lifespan it is mathematically impossible for humans to exceed 11 billion for hundreds of years. The math is clear. As emerging nations embrace a modern lifestyle additional limitations on human population are put into motion.

As with all planetary crisis, it was all a lie. The earth has plenty of resources to support the population of the world. But…..

Humans are not smart enough to manage the complexity of the systems needed to support 11 billion people. As populations bloom, bureaucracies are unable to serve. There is a Goldilocks zone for populations size. In addition to size, each Goldilocks population has geographic limits and a balance of needed skills. It sounds a little like Hunger Games but those “zones” were established and controlled by a yet higher totalitarian authority. It was a dystopian version of what I am describing. “The Village” is a more likely model.

We need a modern version of small “sustainability zones”; self sufficient cities. Big enough to support themselves completely but not so big that bureaucrat momentum overtakes productivity.

War

The world has chosen sides between Russia and Ukraine but only as proxies, no boots on the ground. Probably the first war televised live on TV. That war has rules is an oxymoron to me. War is a game played between elites with proletariat as the game pieces. Humanity is sick and there is no cure for the thirst for power. JMJ 🙏4️⃣👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Biden speaks – Russia Listens

Biden held his second news conference since taking office (1 year anniversary) during which he clearly implied (telegraphed to Russia) that a “minor” incursion into Ukraine would not warrant a military response from the USA. In other words…. go for it we don’t care. But at some level he also says he will defend the Ukraine boarder as a vital interest to USA security (HUH?). Meanwhile, our southern boarder remains completely open, a direct and obvious threat to US security. Many Americans have been murdered by the drugs and criminals who have illegally entered the US along with 2M per year illegal aliens.

Its ok to throw up now, I know I did.

USA is no longer the leader of the free world

UK announced cessation of masks and vaccine mandates as they see the science that the next phase of covid calls for herd immunity and latest variant is same as a bad cold. UK also announced it is time to go back to the office and stop the zoom work.

Same day, Israeli doctors report those who got covid have stronger antibodies than those with the vaccine. The USA will not discuss the topic.

On the same day here in America Biden (in a horrible 2 hour press conference proving he has extreme diminished capacity) announced shipping masks to all Americans (masks proven to be useless) and taxpayer funded (free) covid testing. He continues to chastise the unvaccinated (including those who have had covid) and demand shutdowns of businesses along with remote work.

My money is on the UK and Israel. The USA remains at risk as long as the power hungry political elites are running the nation.
